Welcome to AMI 2012 - the only international automotive trade fair in Germany and currently the most important industry meet in central Europe. Two other parallel trade fairs will be held from 14 - 18 April 2012: the AMITEC specialist trade fair for vehicle components, workshop and service equipment, and the AMICOM trade fair for automotive entertainment, communication and navigation technology.

AMI visitors and exhibitors can not only look forward to a top show, but also the most dynamic city in eastern Germany, where service has a capital "S". In addition to classical high culture such as the Gewandhausorchester, St Thomas Boys Choir, Opera, ballet company and Schauspielhaus theatre, there is also a lively entertainment scene of cabarets, off-theatres, galleries and varieté. Leipzig has no closing times: over 1,200 bars and restaurants turn night into day. During trade fair periods Leipzig offers the most favourable hotel prices in Germany, with 14,000 beds of all categories awaiting their occupants. In a contractual agreement, the Messegesellschaft exhibition corporation and Leipzig's hoteliers offer trade fair visitors accommodation with no trade fair surcharge.
